Label glossary

What common labels mean.

Plain-language definitions for terms you'll see on oil packaging.

Cholesterol free
Cholesterol comes only from animal sources, so all plant oils are naturally cholesterol free.
Trans fat free
The oil contains no artificial trans fats from partial hydrogenation.
Non-GMO
Made from crops that are not genetically modified, where stated on the spec sheet.
Cold pressed
Extracted by pressing without added heat, preserving more of the oil's natural flavour.

Handling & storage

Store cool, dark & tightly sealed.

Keep oils away from light and heat, with the cap on tight. Decant working portions into smaller bottles so the bulk container stays sealed between uses. Use within best-before for peak character.
